There are just so many challenges and uncertainties in our world, it can be tempting to look outside ourselves for salvation or rescue. We may pray for a miracle, hoping that some external force will intervene and solve our problems for us.
But what if we shifted our perspective, and instead of waiting for a miracle to happen, we became the miracle ourselves?

By recognizing the power we hold within, we can take ownership of our lives and become active participants in the creation of a better world. We can choose love over fear, compassion over judgment, and justice over oppression. We can stand up for what we believe in, and use our voices and our actions to make a real difference.
If you choose to do this together with a religious community that’s wonderful. Just remember, the diversity of religious beliefs and practices around the world reflects the richness and complexity of human spirituality, and serves as a reminder that there are many paths to understanding the mysteries of life and the universe.
Stephen Harrod Buhner, described as an earth poet, taught us ‘the mystery of life is not a problem to solve, but a reality to experience…it’s the birthright of every person…life consists of constant mid-course corrections.’
So instead of praying for a miracle - become the miracle. Embrace the power within you to create positive change, and watch as the ripples of your actions spread outwards to transform the world around you. Marianne Williamson tells us we are being asked to help heal the world and it can simply 'be how you help improve your corner of the world.'
I’m working on a Movement Meditation called RAIN DROP which I will offer as a course on Insight Timer soon! You may be familiar with a meditation to deal with difficult experiences popularized by Tara Brach called RAIN: Recognize, Accept, Investigate, and Nurture. RAIN DROP is a reimagining of the classic RAIN practice that seeks to bridge the gap between mind and body, offering a grounded approach to mindfulness. By including body mapping techniques, RAIN DROP encourages participants to connect with their emotional bodies on a deeper level and adds a powerful punch to remember what we often leave out of our experiences. I'll post the link to this course next week.
My wish for you is that your next course correction be meaningful and enjoyable for you.Â
